Creamy Calming Cashew Cacao

This recipe is ideal for slowing down, softening the nervous system, and returning to centre. The gentle richness of cashews, the grounding comfort of Ritual Cacao, and the aromatic hug of cardamom make this drink a perfect pause in your day.

Whole natural cashews give this drink its luxurious mouthfeel, without the need for any artificial thickeners. Cashews are rich in healthy fats and magnesium, known to help regulate mood and support calm. When blended with Ritual Cacao, medjool dates, and warm spices, the result is a nurturing, velvety potion - one that feels as good as it tastes! Created by Georgie from @littleplough.kitchen

How much cacao to drink?

When getting to know ceremonial-grade cacao, our best advice is to experiment and discover what feels right in your body.

We recommend the following as a guide:

DAILY DOSE
If drinking cacao daily, a dose of anywhere from 10g to a maximum 25g.

SHAMANIC DOSE
If you are journeying with cacao, 42g is a shamanic dose.

RECIPE: For 1 person

Vegetarian & Gluten Free

  • 15g Ritual Cacao

  • 280ml Milk of your choice; Almond, Oat or Full Fat Dairy Milk

  • 5 Whole Natural Cashews (unroasted)

  • 1 Medjool Date (pitted)

  • Seeds from 2 Cardamom Pods

  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract (optional)

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender: Ritual Cacao, milk, cashews, date, cardamom seeds, vanilla (if using), and salt.

  2. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.

  3. Pour the mixture into a small saucepan and gently heat on low, stirring occasionally, until warm but not boiling.

  4. Pour into your favourite Ritual Cup. Sip slowly and savour the silkiness.

Optional Additions & Tips
